Roles & Responsibilities

Below are the Roles & Responsibilities –

  • Serve as the point of escalation for calls that are escalated or unresolved.
  • To maintain a high level of customer service for all support inquiries and to follow all service management guidelines, expand your customer service responsibilities and encourage the customer service ethic.
  • Reporting to high management on a regular basis and representing the service desk at meetings and evaluations.
  • Make sure employees are proactive in addressing user issues and take responsibility for them.
  • Assign more complicated calls to the appropriate IT support staff.
  • When issues cannot be fixed internally, make arrangements for outside expert assistance.
  • Maintaining current documentation and knowledge management systems
  • Participate in and abide by the IT Operations Manual and the Quality System.
  • Monitor and provide management with statistics as needed or on a regular basis.
  • Determine and take responsibility for users’ training needs.
  • Examine incident patterns and, with permission, suggest and carry out measures to lower incident rates.
  • Expand the self-service capability’s availability by, for example, offering self-service articles and assistance documents for typical problems that arise across service desks.
