Roles & Responsibilities
Below are the Roles & Responsibilities –
- Evaluate guest editor teams and submitted special issue requests using well-defined criteria.
- Making crucial choices at various points in the assessment process to guarantee integrity and quality
- Help oversee the Special Issue proposal pipeline and collaborate with the larger material Development Services team to plan the timely passage of material through the department’s workflows and systems in order to fulfill deadlines.
- Corresponding as needed to support processing and decision-making with guest editorial teams, journal editorial board members, and other stakeholders.
- When contacting the Content Development Services team, coordinate with Customer Services and other organizational departments. Assist internal and external stakeholders with their questions and concerns.
- Give guest editorial teams direction, counsel, and encouragement on how to make their special issue idea better.
- Coordinate with the publishing, guest editing, journal editing, strategic content acquisition, and editorial teams to guarantee the creation of the most pertinent and promising special issues.
- Determine and address any problems during the creation of Special Issues, communicating with the operations teams as needed.
- Lead and participate in internal and cross-departmental initiatives to improve the effectiveness of workflow, the caliber of screening, and overall departmental strategy and reporting.
