Roles & Responsibilities

• Proficiency in overseeing large storage environments.
• Knowledge of storage systems such as NetApp, HPE Nimble Storages, Unity, Dell VNX, and PowerStore.
• Help configuring Brocade (SAN) switches.
• Proficiency with ONTAP Cluster Mode-9 and C-Mode.
• Practical knowledge of the Linux and Oracle Linux platforms.
• Should make sure that the operating system on storage systems is current.
• Take proactive steps to reduce the vulnerabilities.
• Engage in support or sales-related interactions with partners and vendors.
• Connections via iSCSI and fibre channel from Windows and Unix hosts.
• It will be desirable if you have experience with cloud storage and hyper-convergence.
• Knowledgeable about server and storage virtualization technologies.
• Understanding of Linux, Windows, and virtualization as it relates to storage.
• Practical knowledge of DR and replication solutions.
• Competence in troubleshooting, optimisation, and performance tuning.

Required Skills

• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and vocal communication skills, as well as vendor management abilities.
• Excellent exposure of large-scale manufacturing installations’ live process monitoring.
• The capacity to multitask in a hectic setting.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Keeping an inventory of the related storage systems and their components and tracking support.
• Knowledge of the ITIL Framework and how to apply it to the installation and maintenance of VMware and storage infrastructure.
• Ready for rotating shift and round-the-clock assistance.
• Must be prepared to work longer shifts in times of emergency.
