- Execute test cases and strategies, generate test data, and promptly, clearly, and succinctly communicate results.
- Ought to be aware of how the project or product functions. Need to be able to keep up with evolving documentation and needs.
- Must be able to actively search for holes in test cases and search outside of test cases for problems or defects.
- Should put procedures into place to adequately evaluate modified products.
- Should be able to go back and examine defects or issues from their source.

- Includes working with QA to provide first pass and problem repro for new features as well.
