Below are the Roles & Responsibilities –
- Company Security Maintenance: Support Business Unit (BU) and Service Provider operations related to endpoint, network, perimeter, and data security to ensure a consistent state throughout the company.
- Proactive Security Support: Work closely with representatives from the BU and the service providers to strengthen the security infrastructure by offering both proactive and preventative support.
- Security Policy Evaluation and Implementation: Using internal job aids, assess proposed security policy modifications to in-scope security infrastructure and make recommendations to management for approval and execution.
- Security Reporting and Recommendation: Carry out security reporting on the efficacy of security policies, make recommendations for adoption of new policies, procedures, and technologies when necessary, and oversee lifecycle management responsibilities by guaranteeing security policies stay current and functional. Reports on security effectiveness are completed on a monthly basis.
- Incident Response Engagement: Assist in the timely resolution and mitigation of security incidents by taking part in incident response activities as required.
- Security Systems Documentation: To guarantee knowledge transfer and continuity, create and maintain technical and operational documentation for security systems that fall under the purview of this task.
- Maintenance of Security Infrastructure Inventory: Keep track of all security assets that are under the purview of your organization and make sure they are all appropriately logged and monitored.
- Security Infrastructure Monitoring: Keep an eye on the infrastructure that falls under the purview of this monitoring system. Proactively identify possible security issues by responding to operational notifications from the system.
