Roles & Responsibilities
- Help software engineers, data analysts, and data scientists on a daily basis with using GCP Dataproc and Dataflow services, such as creating jobs and clusters, addressing errors, etc.
- Assist with problem-solving on Hadoop and GCP platforms, such as Dataproc, Dataflow, Hive, Spark, Oozie, Kafka, and NiFi, among others.
- Conduct PoCs and testing for various Dataproc and Dataflow use cases.
- Take part in the monthly rotation of On-Call.
- Operational support for COTS software on Linux servers is one of the secondary duties. This job requires a basic understanding of Linux system administration.
