Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyse business requirements and convert them into long-term data solutions.
- Establish and manage an enterprise-wide central Business Data Glossary.
- Utilising HSBC’s metadata methodology, provide a conceptual and logical data model.
- Data standards, business policies, and data quality guidelines documentation
- By providing data governance services, you can assist HSBC’s data management framework.
- Utilise RDF to create self-service visualisation capabilities. Knowledge Graph for insights extraction
- Provide guidance to IT and business stakeholders on how to identify Trusted Sources and create Lineage utilising the Knowledge Graph.
- Organise meetings with SMEs and data governors and include stakeholders in understanding the requirements for metadata governance.
- Using group strategic tools, onboard essential data sets to develop a governance framework. COLLIBRA
- Create, manage, and enhance meta-models for data that support important procedures.
- Organise interactions with the IT and business departments to assist the documentation and analysis of metadata.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or another engineering specialty with a focus on numerical discipline from a recognised university.
- Proficiency in Conceptual/Logical Data Modelling, familiarity with Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality Evaluation, and Collibra Controls Implementation.
- Should be well-versed in metadata management and data modelling.
- It is preferable to have knowledge of knowledge graphs and graph databases.
- Thorough understanding of the business architecture, data privacy, data governance, and data quality aspects of the data management framework.
- Strong analytical abilities and ability for business analysis.
- Capacity to understand a wide variety of complicated business challenges, analyse them using sparse or complex data, and offer a workable framework for a solution. experience managing data and information on projects with different levels of complexity.
- Knowledge and comprehension of banking and financial services provided by a global bank.
- Knowledge of data flows, accounting rules, and the regulatory environment, including IFRS9, CCAR, B3R, and BCBS239, among others.
- Possession of experience with one of the following frameworks for data management implementation: DAMA, FIBO, TOGAF, and EDM.
- Capacity to collaborate in multidisciplinary groups. strong people skills and a strong desire to succeed
- Both oral and written communication abilities. Capacity to formulate and convey intricate ideas and concepts with effectiveness. the capacity to forge solid connections both inside and outside the company.
