Roles & Responsibilities
Below are the Roles & Responsibilities –
- Using mostly open source technologies, design and manage mission-critical worldwide hybrid infrastructure that spans several datacenters and cloud providers.
- Create scalable systems of the future that are durable, highly available, and able to manage large amounts of online traffic.
- Manage downtimes and uphold the system’s capacity planning, product SLA, and general health and performance of large-scale production systems.
- Take part in a weekly rotation of on-call duty, resolving escalated tickets, resolving outages, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Collaborate closely with clients, business development teams, Noc/Soc, engineering, monitoring, and operations teams, among other stakeholders. • Question the current situation. Required Skills & Qualifications
Below are the Required Skills & Qualifications –
- Outstanding understanding of Linux’s core workings and the basics of the operating system, including scheduling, memory, storage, networking, etc. has overseen production servers with Ubuntu, CentOS, and RHEL distributions.
- Proficiency in Linux filesystems and network and system troubleshooting is required. It is essential to have solid understanding of OSI, TCP/IP, shell/command line, and networking principles.
- Being exposed to RDBMS, such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Knowledge of GIT ideas and terminology, as well as exposure to at least one configuration management tool, such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, etc.
- Able to build scripts and automate repetitive activities using Python.
- Experience with Kubernetes and public clouds.
- A generalist who is knowledgeable about the previously listed and below-listed abilities. Someone who is knowledgeable in everything from DNS to deployments and beyond.
- Has extensive knowledge of L4/L7 load and has managed large-scale online infrastructure in the past.
