Roles & Responsibilities
Below are the Roles & Responsibilities –
- Create and evaluate financial statements, including cash flow, income, and balance sheets.
- Ensure that all accounting records—including journal entries, general ledger entries, and reconciliations—are correct and up to date.
- Verify adherence to rules, standards, and accounting principles.
- Support the creation and application of financial policies and processes.
- Aid in decision-making by offering management financial analysis and direction.
- Ensure compliance with tax rules and regulations by preparing and filing tax returns.
- Assist external auditors and collaborate with them during audits.
- Keep an eye on financial transactions and pinpoint places where internal control has to be strengthened.
- Provide support in creating financial projections and budgets.

- Verify the correctness and completeness of GST transactions by reviewing and reconciling them.
- Keep track of modifications to the GST laws and rules and notify pertinent parties of any adjustments.
- Assist the finance team with GST-related issues, such as how transactions are treated under the law, who is eligible for input tax credits, and how GST affects operations.
- Support GST audits and assessments by giving tax authorities the required paperwork and justifications.
- Look for ways to improve the efficiency and reduce risk of GST operations and procedures.
- Work together with cross-functional teams from operations, legal, and tax to make sure that all facets of the organisation are GST compliant.
- Keep abreast of developments in the field of best practices and trends for GST compliance, and adapt the company’s procedures accordingly.
- Assemble and preserve records of GST filings, registrations, and communications with tax authorities, among other paperwork pertaining to GST compliance.
- Take part in unique projects and campaigns pertaining to GST compliance, as delegated by management.
