- For all Nielsen Companies across all areas, MDG provides new customer creation, change, and extension services for their current customer databases.
- The information needed to conduct business with your clients is known as customer master data. For example, it contains the following: address, house bank, conditions of payment, Corporate Group, aka HFM Code, VAT or TAX ID, and reconciliation accounts. It also regulates the posting of business transactions to a customer’s account and the processing of the posted data.
- Details about the suppliers that supply a business may be found in the Vendor Master database. Each vendor’s master record has this information. The vendor’s database is contained in a vendor master record, and we additionally keep region-specific exceptions for North America, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America.
- Every vendor creation must go through a vetting procedure, and we must contact the controllers to request clearance for each area.
- With the help of the SAPFICO team, the Material Master process creates material for specific business codes. We manage the generation of material and extend it in accordance with the forms that requesters provide.
- Based on the approval provided by the controllers, the Finance Master contains the data for GL, Cost Center, Profit Center, as well as HFM Table Maintenance and Accounting Clerk Maintenance. We also keep a separate form with reference for all the finance materials.
- We employ a different LSMW (Mass upload template) for each unique project that we get.
- Business units engage in mass cleanup operations through special projects after obtaining the required clearance.
- When a new acquisition occurs in the business, the MDG team undertakes a unique activity called data migration. During our daily conversations, we will collaborate with the end user and share our process knowledge. Our primary duty is to oversee the whole data conversion process. The clients that we tested in both GRQ and GRP will receive the findings from us.
- Work on compliance and governance with staff members, the Associate Operational Controller, the Operational Controller, and their teams.
- Collaborate internally on systems and procedures with the GL, AP, and AR teams.
- For audit or internal control reasons, establish a connection with internal audit.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Below are the Required Skills & Qualifications –
- A bachelor’s degree in IT, finance, business administration, and accounting
- Demonstrated precision and attention to detail while adhering to a strict timeline.
- Work efficiently and with effective time and priority management.
- Self-driven and capable of performing well in a group setting
- Shown interpersonal and communication abilities
- Outstanding analytical and V-lookup abilities in Excel
- Strong focus on customer service; excellent communication and listening abilities are required.
- A track record of addressing problems and the willingness to act to resolve them.
- 0–2 years of ERP system experience, with a SAP module preference.
- Preferred is prior experience with MDG (vendor, customer, GL, profit center, cost center, material master).
- A solid understanding of U.S. GAAP accounting principles, ideally with IFRS/Local GAAP and SOX compliance; a track record of managing finance and IT projects.
- Able to diagnose and fix problems with master data.
