Roles & Responsibilities
- Accountable for the strategic planning and design of network components and/or telecom infrastructure. examines the needs for network capacity, both short- and long-term, for both present and future needs.
- This covers the introduction of new technologies into the network for new services and/or improved network efficiency, as well as technology and network planning across several layers.
- Systems engineers for front-end processors, multiplexes, LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and different transmission systems design the network architecture and carry out technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems.
- Examines network optimisation, traffic forecasting, traffic flows and trends, route planning, and routing solutions.
- Integrates with current systems and validates services before transferring control to the service operations team.
- Possesses expertise in radio frequency systems, DSL, microwave wireless transmission, fibre optic connections, IP routers, switches, and 2G, 3G, and 4G networks.
- In order to comprehend market forecasts and trends, the function interacts with LOBs, the Products Team, pertinent teams, and vendors. It then discusses solutions, cost estimates, and CAPEX optimisation projects with these groups of people.
- Along with the commercial team, you are also in charge of equipment planning via RFP.
