Roles & responsibilities
- Within operating range, adhere to safe operating guidelines.
- Be the first person to respond to emergencies.
- Make recommendations for safety enhancements.
- Safe management of plant wastes and hazardous materials Participate in housework.
- Encourage contract workers to work safely.
- Observe and manage field equipment in accordance with SOPs, SOCs, the LLF checklist, and ODR instruments.
- Closely coordinate with the panel executive or shift superintendent.
- Gather and transport field sample material for laboratory analysis.
- Inform the shift engineer or panel executive of any anomalous observations as soon as possible.
- Transferring or accepting equipment from maintenance.
- Use portable equipment to monitor conditions (ODR).
- Carry out basic troubleshooting.
- Carry out small repairs.
- To aid in the decrease of waste and the handling of chemicals.
- To run machinery effectively.
- Determine and recommend areas for development.
- Observing the most recent safety and management requirements, such as TQM, EFQM, QCC, and 5S, among others.
- Keep shift logs for the appropriate area and equipment.
- Observe directions given by the Auxiliary Fire Squad member, shift superintendent, engineer, or panel officer.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Chemical Engineering B.Sc., M.Sc., or Diploma Good housekeeping.
- Maintenance of the fire and safety apparatus in his region.
- LLF checklist and field logbook.
- Waste segregation.
- Keep equipment in good working order with LLF and report any abnormalities.
- Satisfaction of one’s own stated training needs.
