About Ventra

For the Regional Transportation Authority (Illinois), Ventra is an electronic fare payment system that has taken the place of the automated Transit Card and Chicago Card fare collection systems. Launched in August 2013, Ventra (supposedly Latin for “windy,” however the Latin word is actually ventosa) underwent a complete system transition in July 2014. The payment system offers multiple ways to make payments: an RFID-enabled contactless smart card, an RFID-enabled single-day or use ticket, any personal bank-issued credit or debit card with an RFID chip, or a mobile phone that is compatible. Cubic Transportation Systems is the operator of Ventra. Users can purchase passes, control fares, and purchase mobile tickets for Metra through a smartphone app.

Roles & responsibilities

• Helps the revenue cycle manager by extracting data, analysing information, and producing findings reports in an efficient manner using a variety of internal software systems.
• Helps with the creation of month-end KPI tracking and annual revenue budgets.
• Enhances financial outcomes for clients by keeping an eye on data, spotting trends and deviations, creating solutions, and advising the client manager.
• Meets the needs and expectations of the Revenue Cycle Managers by promptly responding to their demands.
• Participates in customer conversations on a regular basis with the revenue cycle manager.
• As needed, steps in for the revenue cycle manager.
• Carries out industry research and takes part in ongoing education to build a solid understanding of the healthcare and radiology industries.
• Carries out additional relevant tasks as given.

Required Skills & qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a similar discipline (or comparable experience).
• Critical thinking, quantitative and numerical capabilities, and analytical abilities.
