• Calculating, posting, and processing business transactions; processing invoices.
• Validating financial information for use in keeping accounts payable records.
• Rendering other clerical support required to fulfil the organization’s financial obligations.
• Check vendor files for any past payments and assign voucher numbers.
• Verify and compute all invoice totals and extensions (applying and computing discounts as needed).
• In accordance with accounting standards and procedures, prepare vouchers that include the invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount, and coding.
• Determine and carry out AP enhancements.
