- Gathers fundamental data (logs, requirements, etc.) and finds typical mistakes associated with system testing.
- Performs log analysis to pinpoint the location of a problem.
- Regularly discusses testing issues with colleagues and boss to keep lines of communication open.
- Interacts with technical leads on a project to confirm correctness and sufficient execution time.
- Finds errors in the “system under test” and fixes them with the use of fundamental debugging techniques.
- Notifies more senior coworkers of technical problems.
- Works together with members of own team to finish projects.

- Accepting accountability for one’s own job and making judgements that have a minimal influence; the results of judgements are easily seen, and mistakes usually simply affect the schedule (i.e., take more time to rectify).
- Giving people who are completely aware about the subject matter simple, routine factual information regarding day-to-day activities through the use of written and vocal communication abilities.
