Roles & responsibilities
- In charge of MIS Tech’s financial software application design, coding, enhancement, and testing to satisfy business process requirements, mostly utilising Java/J2EE related tech stack.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities when creating solutions for corporate needs.
- Participate in the continuous feature development of web applications with service-oriented architecture that incorporate databases, services, and user interface.
- Work on technical and architectural project direction with the development team leads and architects. Assist with business analysts, developers, and QA analysts (both internal and vendor).
- Assessing functional specifications for fresh requests for important design and development work.
- Collaborate with globally distributed, cross-functional development teams to facilitate development endeavours aimed at fulfilling business demands.
- Comprehensive instructions and documentation for the installation and upkeep of software.

- Working in an agile setting and monitoring the completion of important tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
- 0–3 years of total expertise in software development.
- 0–3 years practical expertise with Java, J2EE, JMS, SOAP/REST, SQL, JSON, and XML-based application design, development, testing, and operational support.
- Solid Knowledge of Object-Oriented Development and Design.
- Knowledge of web services and experience with service-oriented architecture (SOA) (REST and SOAP).
- Familiarity with frameworks built on Java, such as JPA, Springboot, Hibernate, etc.
- Familiarity with design patterns and microservices.
- Experience with Agile Scrum, while demonstrating knowledge of and experience with alternative SDLC methodologies.
- Strong database and SQL skills Proficiency with JBOSS Studio, Eclipse, and/or related IDE tools.
- Understanding of source code management (SCM) technologies like Subversion, Bit Bucket, GitHub, and build/dependency management tools like Maven.
- Familiarity with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Platform9, ECS, EKS, Openshift, and Cloud Foundry; experience with application containerisation.
- Exposure to services (or their equivalents) such as API Gateway, IAM, S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, EKS, ECS, Kafka, etc. and exposure to any cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
